Released in 2005, the PSP port of Star Wars: Battlefront II has cheat codes and unlockables, just like the console editions. There are even a few cheats that are exclusive to the handheld version.

These cheat codes are for the PlayStation Portable version. There are separate cheats for Star Wars: Battlefront II on PlayStation 2.

How to Destroy Tanks Easily

Most tanks (with the exception of assault vehicles like the AT-TE) can be quickly taken down with proximity mines. It's also possible to one-shot tanks with the sniper technique. Wait until the reticle turns red, and fire away.

How to Earn Easy Slicing Points

Find your way inside the Rebel capital ship. Stand near the Y-Wing, and wait for someone to get inside. Just as the Y-Wing takes off, slice into it using your torch to make it explode. You can then leave, and come back to repeat the process as many times as you want.

Star Wars: Battlefront II Version Differences

Due to hardware limitations, the PSP version of Star Wars: Battlefront II lacks some of the features found in console versions of the game. For example, in the PSP version:

  • The graphics are less detailed, and the screen resolution has been compressed.
  • Online multiplayer mode has been removed. However, it's possible to play with others who are nearby using the PSP's built-in wireless capabilities.
  • Some maps and missions, including Rise of the Empire, have been removed.
  • Several challenges and mini-games were added.
  • There is no extra DLC.

Star Wars: Battlefront II PSP Exclusive Glitches

The PSP version contains several unintentional glitches that players can exploit.

Infinite Choke Glitch

While using the choke ability on an enemy, switch to your secondary force power, and continue to hold the L button to keep choking your opponent indefinitely.

Easy Reload Glitch

While at a command post, press Up to open the character select screen, then switch to a different character. When you switch back to your original character, your ammo is fully loaded.

Regenerate Health and Ammunition Through Walls

If you're in a room next to an ammunition or medical droid that's separated by a thin wall, you may be able to regenerate health and ammo through the wall. Enemies in the other room will be unable to harm you unless they use an explosive.

Frozen Capes and Robes

For this trick to work, you must play as a character with a cape or a robe, such as Darth Vader or Yoda. Perform any action that causes the cape or robe to move, then press Pause. Turn off your PSP and immediately turn it back on. You should be able to resume the game, and your cape will be frozen in place.
