Definition: Strategy is a genre of video game that emphasizes resource management and planning. They are often war games, but other kinds of strategy games exist.
There are two types of strategy game: real-time strategy, in which all players (including computer-controlled ones) execute their moves simultaneously, and which usually feature simplified tactics; and turn-based strategy, in which players take turns making their moves, and which place more emphasis on planning.
