ISO Loading

By

Definition:

ISO Loading is the act of using ISO loader homebrew software to play a ripped copy (ISO, or ISO image) of a UMD or other optical disc.

Sony considers all ISO loading to be illegal because it is the primary means of PSP game piracy, but some people argue they should be able to rip UMDs that they own and then play those files off a memory stick to reduce loading times and lag during gameplay.

Pronunciation: aye-ess-oh lo-ding
Alternate Spellings: iso loading
Examples:
Playing pirated games on a PSP requires ISO loading software.
