Definition:

An ISO--or more properly an ISO image--is an uncompressed archive file of the contents of an optical disc. Such archives usually have the file extension .iso.

In relation to the PSP or any other game console, "ISO" is usually used to refer to an archive file of a game. ISOs can be distributed over the internet just as any other file, which makes them the primary mode of PSP game piracy.

Examples:
PSP game ISOs can only be loaded from a memory stick using a homebrew ISO loader.
