The
last emulator list was pretty Nintendo-heavy, but there are many other emulators out for PSP. This time, we'll look at emulators for some of the really old systems, plus an assortment of others. (Please note that these are links to external sites and are not official Sony products -- using them may void your warranty.)
This classic system emulator does have know bugs, but otherwise seems to work on any
firmware version up to 2.6 (using an eLoader).
This Intellivision emulator includes two versions: one for firmware version 1.5 and one for versions 2.0 and up. The latest release includes a virtual keyboard.
Made by the same programmer who did the Intellivision emulator (above), this one should work on firmware up to 2.5.
This emulator brings old vector graphics games to the PSP. It should work on firmware up to version 2.0. So far it only plays the built-in
Mine Storm game.
This is a port of Christian Bauer's Frodo C64 emulator, and features full-speed emulation, multiple screen modes, and more. It should work on firmware up to version 2.0.
I can't read the text on the
programmer's site, and
DCEmu doesn't have much information, but this Lynx emulator looks like it works.
These two programs are ported from SMSplus by Charles MacDonald. It originally had both Sega Master System and Game Gear emulators in one program -- here the programmer has split them in two separate programs so you can chose to use only one if you prefer.
This is an emulator of the Atari 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200. It is a port of Atari800 by Petr Stehlik. Some work remains to be done on this program, but it works, though it can currently only load Atari 800 roms.
There isn't much information on this emulator, but the screenshots seem to indicate that it at least works to some degree.
This is a demo release version of an emulator for the Dreamcast's VMU (Visual Memory Unit). It is a port of the VMU Emulator by Marcus Comstedt, and runs demos and most of the VMU's games. You must be running version 1.5 firmware for this one.
