If you're a gamer, you might be more interested in playing games than eating candy on Halloween (or maybe you do both). Here are some great scary games for Halloween gaming horror.
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
The first Castlevania game for the PSP takes the classic Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and remakes it with all new graphics and added content. What better way is there to spend Halloween than vanquishing the evil of Dracula?
Dead Head Fred
You play as Fred, a private investigator brought back from the dead with a brain-in-a-jar for a head. Battle through zombies, evil skeletal minions and the Headless Horseman to find out what happened to your head and get your revenge. The dark humor in this game makes it a perfect All Hallows pastime.
Death Jr
The teenaged son of Death can't resist helping his pretty classmate Pandora open a box they find while on a school field trip to the local museum. Opening the box results in bad things, and now Death Jr has to battle evil minions to save his friends and their world. You get to kill evil things with a scythe. How's that for a late October evening occupation?
Death Jr 2: Root of Evil
Death Jr is back and once again he's saving the world from evil with his dad's scythe (and lots of other weapons). This time, instead of rescuing Pandora, she's there to help.
Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure
OK, it's not really scary. Well, not scary at all. And it's cute. And you play as a little girl. But it's got monsters. Lots of them. And really, cuteness it part of Halloween, isn't it? All those adorable little kids?
Hellboy: The Science of Evil
Play as Hellboy, Abe Sapien or fire-wielding Liz Sherman and beat up Nazis and their demonic minions.
Infected
The setting is actually Christmas, but it's got insane, violent people infected by a mysterious virus. You play a character who fights the infected using his own immune blood. A nice creepy and bloody game for a creepy and bloody holiday.Manhunt 2
In this sequel to the ultra-violent PS2 game, you play as a character committed to an insane asylum after underground experiments go wrong. You have to fight your way through some truly insane characters to piece together your past and escape the asylum.MediEvil Resurrection
In this PSP sequel to the PlayStation games, you battle all sorts of evil as Sir Daniel Fortesque, deceased. Your first weapon is your own left arm, with which you club your enemies. Fortunately, you do get other weapons, though your lower jaw seems to be permanently missing.Silent Hill: Origins
The PSP entry in the classic Silent Hill horror series reveals the origins of the titular town and how it became such a hellish place. This is one really, really creepy game perfect for Halloween play.
