Guide Review - Shieldzone invisibleShield
Here's something from ShieldZone's FAQ: "The invisibleSHIELD is made from a film originally made to protect military helicopter blades. It was specifically designed to withstand the toughest abrasions." Pretty cool. While I didn't spend a lot of time trying to gouge my PSP screen after I put on the Shield, it does seem pretty tough, and I'm confident now that my screen is protected as best it can be. Plus, I think it's pretty cool that my gaming handheld is protected with military technology.
Now You See It . . . Or Do You?
It's called invisibleShield, so it should be invisible, right? If you try really hard, you can angle a PSP with invisibleShield installed into the light so that you can sort of see it. And if you're used to the ultra-shiny PSP finish, you may notice it's a tiny bit less shiny with the Shield on (and also a tiny bit less slick to the touch), but it's really almost unnoticeable. Which is cool, because it also shows fingerprints less than the PSP's original finish.
"Pay Once, Protect Forever"
If, in the unlikely event that the invisibleShield ever -- ever, anytime in the future -- gets scratched, ShieldZone will replace it. Which means they're pretty sure it's not going to get scratched. The retail price is $14.95 USD, which may be a little more than some competing products, but if it really is that strong (and it does seem to be), that's a great value.
