Intec Leather Case

Intec's leather PSP case is a relatively inexpensive, smart-looking option for protecting your handheld. I was lucky enough to get mine on sale, but even full price it's a reasonable deal. It could have had a better closure and strap, but those are fairly minor details. If you like black leather, this is a good item to choose.

If you're looking for a simple, inexpensive leather case for your PSP, this might be it. It comes in basic black, with some nice stitching detail on the front, a front flap that closes with a magnetic snap, and a thin shoulder strap. It also has a belt loop on the back, if you prefer carrying your PSP on your belt to hanging it off your shoulder like a handbag.

The case had a very strong new-leather smell when I first took it out of the package. Some people might like that as a feature, but I found it to be a bit much. Fortunately, it faded fairly quickly, and now I only get the leather smell if I hold it right up to my nose and breathe deep.

Nifty

One of the nice features of this case, besides its overall sturdyness, is that it has elasticized sides. This means the PSP will still fit in easily, even if you have something like Pelican's Face Armor on it. You don't have to worry that your system is being crushed by the thing that's supposed to protect it.

Short

My main criticism of this product is that the strap is too short. I like to sling things -- like my messenger bag or my camera -- diagonally, rather than just hang them off my shoulder. They feel more secure that way. The strap on this case is too short to do that, so I mostly use it without the strap and tuck it into whatever bag or pack I have with me instead.

The other thing I'm not enthusiastic about is the magnetic snap closure. Magnets and computer-ish things in close proximity make me nervous.
